What did you do to your Crossfire today?
finally got rid of my Rejected inspection caused by the RCM check engine light issue... too bad its been so long since I got the R that I had to pay for a new inspection!
Finally installed the 'Oil Catch Can' and topped of the day by fitting the three new 'T' bolt hose clamps on the CAI. The size of the clamps had a maximum clamping diameter of 3 3/8" and a minimum of 3 1/16".
Installed the OCC without removing the intakes, the old hose assembly I found can be wiggled out the passenger side all in one piece, it took a while for that to be found as the simple way to do it. I loosened the throttle body screws (T-30) and removed the bracket that supports the 'Y' piece, the instructions says it can be left in place, maybe so but not by me.
Topped up the coolant reservoir as it was down a liter and a bit, I'll keep an eye on that, no leaks to be seen. It was down when I got the car, and I finally got the distilled water.
I had a 1988 GM 4.3 L V-6 destroyed by coolant leaking into the engine across both of the head gaskets. After getting the runaround from GM, I rebuilt the engine, that was the last GM vehicle I purchased. No sign of water or emulsified deposits on the oil filler cap on the Crossfire though.
I always seem to drop a nut or something onto the engine pan. I have found through much experience that if you keep thumping the pan at the rear and slowly work your way forward then the errant object moves to the front and then it can be retrieved with the magnet if it's steel or the prongs of the flexible retrieval tool . I spent 15 minutes trying to get a nut like this once before I noticed the nut had missed the pan and was lying by the wheel.
Full of p!ss and vinegar I ended up installing Rudys I-pod gizmo for my son on the trip to Woodward. Next up the brakes and paddle shifters.

Found out my fog was broken in the last 24 hours by an errant rock, apparently a rather large one.
This is after getting white lane marking paint all over the front of her a few weeks ago. I've been looking for a good daily driver for a while, apparently my XF is a target for mishaps these days...

Over the past couple weeks I've:
- swapped out the tensioner pulley
- reverted back to the single NW over the Dual
- waxed her up
- ordered a TPS for $34 shipped
TPS for Cheap:
That's about it.

Nope. I'm hopeful my local tire shop can handle the task.
Changed the oil in it, Finally! I need to pick up another quart to fill it to the top of the dipstick. The sucker I used to pull the oil must have worked better than most people say theirs works because it pulled the full 8.5 qts out of the pan. I had only purchased 8 because of other posts stating they only needed to add 8 quarts to be full.
