Alabama Tornados
The Red Cross could probably used some monitary help on this one. There is going to be a lot of people needing immediate help. I have no connection with the Red Cross other than professionally on the job.

Lightning and wind - the storm is here, oddly no rain yet.
WSB weather guy says these storm are weaker than those that hit north of Atlanta... looks like I'll be ok!

On my road, not so much as a leaf or branch down. Four miles to the north, there are huge commercial buildings wiped away! A tornado touched down about 8 miles to the west, it's first victim was the home of friends I have attended church with for 10 years. They heard odd sounds, hid in an inner closet. When they came out, about 75% of the house was gone. The storm stayed on the ground for over 12 miles, and again, it came thru about four miles north of my house, and about 1 mile north of the office.
I rode thru there just now, one RV dealer lost every RV on the lot - none escaped damage, two were piled on each other (these are 40 to 50 foot motor homes).
Across the street, the Shell station was reduced to rubble about 4 feet high. Behind it, was a mobile home park, only about 8 or 10 trailers. Nothing is left, they think 3 died there.
NEXT DOOR is ANOTHER mobile home park, 6 or 8 trailers there - one trailer was crushed when a tree fell on it, no other trailers were damaged. Less than 200 feet separates the two trailer parks!
In the middle of a destroyed lift truck place, a destroyed RV dealership, a destroyed Gas Station, etc. Sat the post office. A brick building with minimal windows. It lost some shingles off the roof - no other damage.
If you see any of this on the news, I'm in Spalding county, GA.

Thats the one I was watching - the thing that amazes me was that it was listed in Wikipedia already while the storms were in still Birmingham as Birminghan tornado of april 27 2011.
