Default Hurricane Survival thread

One of the best statements from the news Sat afternoon was 'Wilmington, it's over for you.' Eye was 100 miles off shore; winds fierce, 70 mph+; 6 -8 in of rain. The back end of the hurricane was the worst. Lots of tree damage but fortunatelky not on the house or my Crossfire. It was a full 24 hours of all of the above.

Hope all on eastern seaboard are doing ok - and many thanks for the pre-hurricane support posts.

That was without a doubt the worst storm that has hit my area in my time being here. This was no joke. I already have damage on my chimney from the earthquake last week and really did not need this too.

I've never wanted Fall to come so bad!

While we didn't get it nearly as bad as you, we had a 100 ft tree break in half and just miss the house (crushed the garden next door pretty good though).
