Good for you. Great plug too for the PSA test etc. But I want to know why there wasn't a plug for the Cross in there at all about how good it is to drive the car or something.... sniff. LOL! Seriously though, congrats on getting this far with it and i really hope many more yets to be.

There's a more important story than just your pretty car in the back ground here.

Also, Is this why you have a "Pain in the ***" shirt?

Thanks guys,
I did tell them the Crossfire was a big part of my positive attitude but I guess I talk too much and they couldn't get everything in the article!

It is the name of our team - we do the Safeway Father's day run/walk for prostate cancer each year. We raised over $10,000 this year. If you are interested you can read about that on my website www.painintheass.ca

Wow I'm speechless Glad to hear you're doing well considering the diagnostic. I truly believe your positive attitude has a lot to do with this. My Grandma lived to a 100 year old with a number of cancers in her last 45 years. She also had a great attitude I wish you well my friend.

I actually called my Doctor today and asked if I had ever had a PSA test done.
I need to call in the morning during office hours to verify.
If not I will be getting one this week.
I'm happy to hear you have defied the odds and are living a strong active life.
Thanks for sharing your very personal story here on the open forum.
You may have even saved someones life.

Gary

Congrats, Ron, for the great attitude and your success. Thirteen years ago, at 61 y.o., my prostate cancer was detected. Fortunately it had not spread, and most fortunately it (and my diligent wife) caused me to have more tests. Colonoscopy detected two large cancers and my dermatologist found three very large malignant melanomas on my back. Prostate came out. 80% of the colon went bye bye, and about a pound of meat came off the back. Chemo and radiation took care of any stray cells, and my wife gave me the positive attitude that we both know helped our sucess. Everyone over 50 reading this.......GET A PROSTATE TEST...Family medical history, which I generally ignored, may point the way to the need for a colonoscopy. All my cancers were "silent killers"....by the time you know you have a problem, you have a BIG problem.

No one should have to live with a "best if used by" date. I am impressed you could ignore it so successfully.

Do keep up the spirit friend and go to bed each night exhausted from living.

Our prayers are with you.

franc

BTW, I have studied for and passed the PSA test every year since I was fifty. So far ,,,,So good. I guess it pays to study.

Prostrate Cancer hits one in three of us. Get it done guys.

Congrats on beating the odds. I hope you continue. I too had prostate cancer, found with a routine physical. Luckily mine was caught early. Just this week I had my 4 year checkup with everything OK.
I tell every guy I know over 50 to get that "pain in the ***".
