Default Are you an old soul?

I'm only 31 (almost 32) and people tell me all the time that I'm an "old soul". I never really thought about what that meant until someone someone said something really profound.

I have been around older people (20 to 40 years my senior) since I was about 16 years old. My senior year in high school I signed up for a work-study program and unknowingly started my "career" with the Federal Government that has now spanned over 15 years. I never understood why I thought about things the way I do (in a more mature manner than most people my own age). I feel a lot older than 31, and now I know why. I believe I grew up (matured) a lot sooner than most teenagers do, in large part because of my job. When other kids were out partying and having fun, I was in the office, five days a week working as an apprentice to Government Architects and Space Planners.

I don't regret any of it. I have built a very successful career for myself and my family. Wouldn't change a thing...well...maybe a few things.

So, any other "old souls" out there?

I am on my 48th life with no empirical memory of the past 47.Just an occasional glimpse. Electric energy is god and it controls my Crossfire with Drive by wire. Gary

When your over 70, anyone under 60 is young.
When your over 80, I guess 70 year olds are young.
It's all relative.

Good for you Smokin Red '06

When I first got my Crossfire about 2 years ago, I took my then 71 year father for a spin. With bad knees, he had a hard time getting into the car and an even harder time getting out. After he finally made it out and upright he said thanks for the first and last ride in a Crossfire. I said come on its not that bad. He said if I ever get back in that car, you'll be burying me in it.
I guess I should have let him drive instead of being a passenger, he'd probably wanted to buy one.

No, you are not the oldest. At least two I can think of older than you.

I did get a little of that when I was young ... but I just think people expect to get wise ideas out of old faces

No, I changed the oil when I should have been having a nap, so I had to go to bed earlier than normal, 1am.

Yeah, I guess it was closer to 2am, I watched a Die Hard movie, that guy loses pints of blood after many serious and normally fatal injuries and still manages to snuff the baddies, amazing.
