This time 37 years ago, i was standing in the United Nations Building, and somewhere in that building was this girl that i had been dating for the last 2.5 years,, I was standing in front of a Priest,and others, and all of a sudden here she comes , walking with, her father, toward me, I though it was my birthday , which was three days later,( really i don't remember the other people standing near me,) I can see by the pictures in our album there were a lot of people there, there were friends that remind me of that day so i don't forget my anniversary, wow 37 years ago today.

I'll tell you a story or two, first of all i have owned 397 twoseater AMX's ,,and with hoods under the bed,, carburetors being rebuilt on the kitchen table, transmissions and engines in the spare bedroom, and as many as 25 cars out side in the drive way and street.she is still here today,, I have 5 AMC engines 20 sets of heads and lots of parts, I guess this car stuff has been going on for years and she still loves me.
just last year we were watching TV when i got up ,was walking out of the room and heard, 556hp,,I ask my wife what car was that ,she did not see either,,, i went looked it up, came back told her it is a Cadillac CTSV, told here it was 70,000 for a new one and 50000 for a used one ,,,she said " sell the crossfire, sell the Camry and go get one",, then i told her about rudy'v8 into a crossfire and we would only spend 20 to 25000,, she said you want it get it, and i did , now you see why i have the love of my life, for the last 39 years so Happy 37 anniversary to my wife and myself, oH happy birthday to myself in three days, jim

great story Jim...congrat to you both... I recently celebrated my 30th. My wife ask me what we were doing? I said, and I quote: " I don't know about you, but my contract said, 30 and out!". That is when the fight started.

Great story Jim. Mine draws the line at finding a transmission in the bath tub. I am allowed to wash parts in the kitchen sink. I have thought about putting greasy parts in the dish washer but haven't been brave enough!

 

I wish i could say yes, but so many things happening this weekend here,, I am playing it by ear.. but it really looks like i want be there, sorry. jim

Lots of people have been married for more years, their trouble(?) was they shared those years with different women. Five here, ten there and so on. The've got no money left, they just have the memories and they are at an age where they will not even have them soon enough.

I have 42 under my belt and all to the same one.
They don't make 'em like they did.
