And truth is stranger than fiction: I heard on the radio this morning that police in Ireland were called because of the old man on the roof of a house in the neighborhood. The owner of the house was shocked that anyone would call the police requesting assistance as the "old man on the roof" was actually a Santa statue put up there as a Christmas decoration. Yes, it seems someone actually called the cops to rescue a Christmas decoration. At Christmas time. Must have been on the way home from the pub after having a few too many pints of Guinness.
