50mpg?

You sure that speedometer is not reading in Kilometers instead of Miles?

Just wondering...

Looks nice Andrew. Are those white brake covers behind the wheels?

Aside from the dash/console/gauge cluster being the dreariest I've ever seen in a vehicle since the Charger, I think it's a clean ride.

White is a must though.

My only beef with Volvo is that they have the Audi TT syndrome: from '00 to '07, they are virtually identical.

If she's a wagon-woman, look into a E55 AMG wagon... BEAST. That is, unless you much prefer leasing and then it's not an option.

But definitely white on the X70.

same thing I said and everyone else at work, but the U.K. using the mile standard same as us and they really have cars that get some great milage there, look at a any uk dealer website and compare the same car to an american car. it's crazy they could up the average MPG by double in a lot of cases if they brought those same cars here. although his car was not crazy insane fast it was more than fast for what it was and it was not a diesel.

~ they are thin pieces of flexible plastic to protect the disc from rusting/corroding during shipping... they should of taken them off during dealer prep.

that particular car would be ours if they hadn't drilled holes in the front bumper for the bracket... it is the only white V70 R in the country with xenon lights - therefore i have placed an order for one today.

the dash and interior is awesome in person - the quality is top notch - the pics dont do it justice imo.

silver is drab but the white looks sooo clean.

as for the e55 wagon - a rocket ship beast indeed - love that car but at 90k - no go.

While I've never seen or met your wife, most would consider it a fair trade.

That is a pretty nice car though.

I like the Volvo's. Nice cars. But white? It makes sense in a hot climate but why drive in the color of kitchen appliances? Oh, its for the wife = kitchen. Or Delorean's for todays kitchen fad. For me, white needs lots of chrome help. Chrome it up and I'll like it a lot... in white.

(city safety) the car will stop on its own if too close to another stopped car at speeds under 20 mph and under.

Good choice, the XC60 is much better than the V70. The V70 looks old, the last model change didn't move enough from the prior version.

well i am hooked... i took my XC60 T6 in for service and arranged to have a new r-design XC60 for a loaner.

the real upside:

~ the ride and handling is far more connected to the roadway (no lift of the front nose under acceleration) plus a firmer feel.

~ the 20" rims are worth the price of admission

~ lower ride height

~ the interior (supportive seats, gauges, steering wheel, shift ****)

~ the rear end looks complete with the change in valances and right-sized exhaust tips

~ painted lower half

the downside:

~ no fog lamps

~ not a biggie but no change in hp's

i have a friend who wants to assume the lease on my T6 ... looks like i may be ordering an ice white r-design

reminds me more of her prior '08 XC90 V8 sport.
