For those of you who knew and those who didn't know **** Lang.....KNOW THIS>>>The car guys, cruisers, enthusiasts have lost a great ambassador and friend. Richard "****" Lang was one of the truest men I have ever met and broke bread with. **** would literally give you the shirt off his back if COG ran out of giveaway shirts at an event. He was tireless in his dedication to his family and COG. He never stopped smiling whether it was 40 or 100 degrees. **** was instrumental in introducing COG to CICCI and was the first to mention joint ventures as a way to help an upstart club and revitalize an established one. He made you feel welcomed and appreciated. **** took nothing for granted and gave more time and attention to his family and friends than any person I have ever known. **** truly believed that if you were having a good time in his presence, he was doing his job. My heart is heavy with sadness at the passing of **** but my mind is delighting in the experience and guidance **** gave me, and the "smile" he never failed to share. **** was a fighter and he proved his worth during his recent health battles. He never pitied himself and promise to fight to the end. I "knew" **** Lang and I have no doubt he did just that. He passed away yesterday after an intense battle with cancer. My condolences to the Lang, COG and CICCI Family.

Putting that aside......thanks for sharing with us.

My prayers are for peace and comfort for his family and fiends.

 

Some of you may remember CICCI had a fund raiser back in Dec 2010 for Rick who was battling brain cancer.

I meet Rick a few years ago after he posted on this form, about a show that the Chrysler Owners Group was putting on in Liverpool NY. The club at the time was a PT club but wanted to start including all Chrysler's. From the first day I met Rick he made my wife and I feel very welcomed as well as the other Crossfire owners that joined us that first year in Liverpool. Last may at the last Liverpool show was the last time we spoke to Rick, he had already been fighting a good fight with brain cancer for almost a year. I will never forget when he said hello to my wife how he broke down, knowing what she was going through with her father fighting cancer as well.
God willing we will be going to the Liverpool show again this may but will not be the same without our friend Richard Lang. RIP..
