Default Oh My Gosh!

I am starting to "hate" the gasoline companies. I just paid $3.87 for a gallon of (91) premium gas. Wow when will it stop? I thought USA was exporting more Oil than importing it? I will really go off if they turn in another Quarter at 300% profit. I just want to drive my crossfires! If we get the Gas to $4 taht means we will be around $63 a tankful....wow, I guess I will be cutting back on food....I want to drive and fast! . What is the price of gas around the USA and Europe? I'm still getting 22.9 around town but, WHY?

KJ

Consider yourself lucky, reg is flirting with $4 a gallon here. Here lately it is changing back and forth daily.

$3.87 for premium...........consider yourself lucky. The lowest for premium her is around $4.05 but most is $4.15 or higher.

We are still a net oil importer, by quite a large quantity. We are now exporting gasoline but that is because demand is down her and our refining sector has extra refining capacity they can take advantage of as long as the international market (primarily Europe) needs it.

If you want weekly trends in US or local prices, check out the EIA website and the petroluem weekly summaries. It's a pretty good source for info like this. Get used to high prices, especially over the summer.

WOW - I wish our gas was that cheap - I'd happily drive around in an 8mpg muscle-car or truck at that price!!! Tanked up SWMBO's compact today and paid......

£1.39 per litre which if my math is correct equates to roughly U$ 2.21 per litre which is U$8.50 per US gallon - and that's not even particularly expensive!!

Google "US Exports 2011"

You'll discover the US produces so much gasoline, that it's now become our #1 export product. (117 million gallons of gasoline leave our shores by tanker every day) Talk about squeezing the domestic market...

Who would have thought?

$3.83 for a regular gallon here. This week it cost over $40 to fill up the PT Cruiser. Crossfire has a smaller gas tank so I don't think it would cost that much, even for premium.

I'd love to see premium for "just" $3.87/gallon here in SoCal. It's now right around $4.59~$4.64/gallon depending on brand, location, etc.

Actually, it's refined fuels we are exporting, not oil. Refined fuels are our #1 export because they are in such demand elsewhere. And don't blame the oil companies. The last time the cost of gas was this high the cost of oil was nearing $150/barrel. Right now it's just over $100. This time the refiners are making the $.

$4.07 for premium in Orlando - a little cheaper at Costco but you have "cheap" gas where you live.

I paid $3.58 for premium at Kroger yesterday on the way to work, by the afternoon it was up to $3.72. The Exxon right next to Kroger is $3.91 for premium.

I agree with you!
The prices for oil grows constantly, while the salaries are the same!
That's just dishonest! I'm thinking sometimes of changing my favourite car into a simple bike.
Cheaper and healthier....

It's called inflation. Your dollar is worth less now.
