Thumbs up Hi from the UK

Hi everyone, just wanted to say a big hello from the UK!

I bought my CF a couple of weeks ago and love it.

I will be looking at the posts on here for ideas to modify it shortly

Welcome, in the UK as well and got my XF about 3 weeks ago. Had the wheels redone in sparkling graphite by my BMW dealership, changed the steering damper shock and installed colour coded are parking sensors. She is a 2005 classic yellow convertable with 20K on the clock. Will post some pics soon.

This forum has been invaluable so far, I am always on here and have learned so much, thanks to everyone who have contributed.

Is it a good mod changing the steering damper shocks? What difference did it make and how much did it cost?

It's shock, not shocks, and it is around $30-$40 US.
It will make a big difference if yours is worn out, and that mostly is dependent on type of driving and mileage.

Hint : buy the one for the MB SL320 or SLK320, not the one from Chrysler, much cheaper for the same product.

Got it for £24 off eBay and it cost £40 to install but you can do it yourself if you've got the time. Got a back problem at the moment so was happy to pay to have it done. It works great and I drove on the roads where I felt the pull most and ts virtually gone. Cheap but effective mod.
