Thanks to all my friends out there for the Birthday wishes. You guys mean more to me than you will ever know. I wish I could report that I was all healed up after the surgery I had on my back 11 days ago, but such is not the case.
I had a herniated disc in the #5 and #6 region on my spine, and had very little use of my left arm. The Doctor said it was paralyzed. The disc was actually touching the spine.
They removed the offending disc and fused a new bone in its place.
Well, for three or 4 days I was felling pretty good ( just a hard time swallowing) but then last weekend my right arm started hurting, (only about twice as much as left had been hurting).
Now my right are is paralyzed, and we tried getting a hold of the Doctor on Monday but he was in surgery. Found out we wouldn't be able to reach him until Thursday. Come Thursday his secretary calls and wanted to see what was wrong. After telling her the whole story, and explaining to her that the meds that the doc originally prescribed for me, weren't working. She informed me that was the strongest meds he ever prescribed, and all I was feeling was "post opp" pain, and it was all very natural.
So now my "shifting arm" is involved and until the pain goes away, I can't drive.

just spent 4 days in bed with the worst flu I ever had...I hate to be down for anything. The spine is a slow healing process. I crushed 4&5...years back and it took years for them to finally fuse to where they wouldn't cause pain. Pain killers were out because of my CDL... you just become numb to it after awhile...a little grouchy but numb...now it has moved below the waste after my last accident during training...just getting too old to keep up with younger officers... you give it some time...let it mend...

Man, Doc, I was really concerned for you, figured you had Conjunctive Diasphoric Ligamenture or something ....
Googled it and realized it was "Commercial Driver's License"
Boy do I feel stupid ........

( was thinking it was related to my condition : CRS ( Can't Remember S**t )
