Well....I gotta say....

The last "The Beautiful Ohio" plate design was an embarrassment! Pretty sure lot of people from Ohio agrees with that. LOL...

However, it didn't look too bad with my Blue Crossfire. The blue blends in, and the yellow and the chrome frame adds a little taste to it.





However, it looks ugly with a silver car....






So, when the new design came out, I rushed to put a order in. And here it is.




The silver with red touch is pretty classy.

Thoughts?

 

Cool Plate Shibing, the new design is a lot better looking than the old ones.

 

I do like it better than what we have now. Although from a distance, the new plate looks dirty with the silver writing on the white. In June I will be replacing the plates on all 3 of my cars. I am currently running the oldest plates that OH has allowed until now.

PS I am giving up my vanity plate now that it is an EXTRA $50. OH is getting enough of my money as it is...

The "beautiful Ohio" plates are anything but!

 

They probably got a lot of negative feedback so they decided to give up on the pastel colors. Lol.

New design, I would say, is pretty simple. I'm sure there would be no problem matching the plate with all the variety of colors this time around.

 

About the same effect as a different color inspection sticker to me (for states that have them). No hard feelings, just another target for OHP to aim lasers at.

 

YEP! OHP and their darn lasers....

Depending on how busy the traffic is, they tends to shoot the laser at you from distance of 1/4 mile to almost a full mile. Sometimes even closer.

Lately, however, I've seen some local LEO use laser and some newer radar guns(KA Band, which is rare for Ohio.) That's when it starting to burn....

I'm glad Sheriff hasn't got these fancy toys yet, and they're still broadcasting radar in the country roads though.

 

The silver text does make the plate look a little dirty. It turns the plate background more to a silver color. Which I think it goes with the red a little better. (Pure white on red...looks a little too shinny to me)
