Default Collections or collectables

I know everyone here shares an interest in Crossfires but I am wondering if anyone collects anything, stamps, coins, oil cans, sports memorabilia or anything that you have developed an interest in over the years? Include pics if you have them.

I started collecting Jeep stuff about 16 years ago, die-cast, sales brochures, ads, souvenirs from Camp Jeep and Jamborees, event t-shirts and hats. Nothing of any monetary value just something I do for the fun of it. Since buying the Crossfire I have found or purchased some sales brochures, hats, shirts, magazine articles and a couple die-cast so maybe it will grow into a collection some where down the road.

That's quite a collection there and was not so cheap to get.

Thanks, my wife and son have given me a lot of the diecast, key fobs and assorted Jeep logo items for Christmas, birthdays and Fathers Day.

I collected T-Shirts from many places I visited on Vacations over many years
I wore them all at one time but when they became worn out or to small to wear I folded them up and stored them in a box
I knew one day I would have them cut and made into a T-Shirt quilt
Last year I gave the box of my many shirts to a very good friend who is also a very skilled seamstress and she made me this beautiful quilt using nearly all of the T-Shirts she had.

It is a KING size bed quilt

T-Shirts cut and ready for sewing

Completed - King size bed quilt

Nice Jeep collection Ken, and a very cool idea with the bed spread Gary.

I once owned a Jeep also.

The quilt is really cool, way better than keeping them in a box or a drawer.

Nice CJ-7 James. What year? I ordered a new CJ-7 in 1978 but, had to tell the dealer to sell it when I was unable to sell my car. Twenty one years later I bought my Cherokee.

TransOceanic Radios or until it got a bit silly with my declining hearing. Still have at least one of every model but most of the web page was done in the last century.

I like to collect; I have over 300 vintage soda machines, lots of old cars, old juke boxes, 40's, 50's memorabilia, vintage trailers and a bunch of old motorcycles and scooters

Thanks Greg,

The little one (10') is a 1946 Boles Aero, the bigger one is a 1947 Spartan Manor. I have a little '63 Airstream Bambi and a '56 Airstream Bubble, with those I also have a '37 Pierce Aero (very rare 19' camper), a '51 Boles Aero (12') and a very rare 12' 1954 Airlight (which looks like an airstream but the entry door is in the back between the taillights. I've got three of four more but they are nothing special. Below is a '50 14' Boles Aero. All the old trailers I keep are aluminum framed instead of wood, one thing that makes the Boles special over most of the old can hams.

Thanks,

I love those radios, I remember in 4th grade having one and being the hit on the playground. Mine had a leather case and about the size of the new iphone6, little holes in the back of the case allowed the speaker to function. It was primitive, but cool. Don't know what happened to it but I'm pretty sure it was thrown away.

Nice Collection!!

Dave

I guess this is considered a transistor radio?

Only have a few cars any more (see sig) but each has a door and can be on the road in seconds.

Have about half and half transistor and tube radios & do tend to be large. (3000 uses 10 D cells) and a R-520 is about the size of a portable sewing machine.

Also have a bunch of computers (Trash-80, Vic-20, Columbia VP-1600) that started out new, then became old.

Working mainly with integrated multimedia for camper any more.

I'm familiar with that Crosley radio hidden in a book. Great way to sneak it into school. No Sister...... I'm just reading back here, but I thought I heard a radio too.
