Default Some must drive roads

Some must drive roads and the dragon never gets a mention.
My son drove the #2 road up and down a few times in 2015 and #1 going south in 2014.

I've driven #18, the 550 in Colorado, several times. In a tractor/trailer. It's a white knuckler. There are many, many, MANY hair pin turns, and switchbacks. Steep climbs and drops. Quite a few that you simply CANNOT keep your trailer on your side of the road. One 90 degree turn, if missed, will send you over a cliff, and onto a town!!! In many places you are looking down at the tops of trees and telephone poles. It was as scary as it was beautiful.
That said, it would be a lot of fun on a motorcycle, or the X-Fire.

Isn't that the road between montrose and durango?
I did that once, when I was doing contracted dive jobs on the dams out there about 13 years ago.
Was in a extend cab chevy pulling a boat on that road, great view, scetchy turns, one of the highest paved public roads in a spot I believe also.
I wouldn't want to drive a semi on that road, blow a steer tire and it is a long drop.
The line on the side of the road was breaking off in spots, and a long drop.
No gaurd rails anywhere, for snow removal.
Would reccomended anyone to drive it, just not near winter.

Yep, that's it. I'm glad I did it. I can't wait to NEVER do it again though!!! At least in a semi.
