Stupid mechanics
Richard from Smyrna Ga came over today for my assistance on the sticky key fix.
While we were at it, he also had me install a new RCM just for grins.
While in the process of this, I noticed that the new battery he had someone install did not have the battery hold down. The metal strip by the fender where you would hook one end of the hold down had been bent so it could be shoved back under the fender, and the really strange thing was that the other strip by the electronics box still had the 10 mm nut installed on it.
We removed the battery, and lo and behold, there sat the hold down along with it's rubber pad UNDER the battery, along with the red cover for the positive post.
I reinstalled both.
BEWARE OF STUPID SERVICE SHOPS AND MECHANICS !!!!!
BTW, Richard ( Rpaczan ) has a really sweet SILVER 2005 roadster 6 speed with about 22K, NO body scratches or damage and absolutely NO wheel rash. ( I'm jealous )
