Okay, so I know that may seem a bit weird of a question, but really. How do you get into your car?

So I thought about this today when I was getting into the XFire, and I just sit on the side of the seat then turn in. But when I let my dad drive, he puts his legs in first then sits in. Is there a "quick" way to get in?

me too : I just sit on the side of the seat then turn in. ( I use the emergency brake for leverage )
I have no idea how your dad does that, he's a better man than me is all I can say.

 

I put right leg in then sit and then put my left leg in.

 

I have no problem getting in, it's the getting out after 4 or 5 hours at the wheel that is sometimes comical. Especially when my neighbour decides his parking space isn't big enough

 

Haha, I hate that.
When I park in the back of a parking lot then come back and a vechicle is 6" from my car.
You should grab some fluorescent and flexible marking poles and mount in the floor.

I do it differnt getting g out than I do getting in.
In-
Right foot in, get in seat then left foot in.
Out-
Both feet out then stand up.
I have 5'7"
I think height makes a difference how a person gets in and out.
88 Camara I had awhile ago had to roll in and out.

 

I do it the other way round as my steering wheel is on the "wrong" side lol.

 

LMAO.... Finally someone admitted it is on the wrong side... I am old. I fall in and fall out....

 

Butt first, then right leg/foot, then rotate @ 90 degrees, then swinging in left leg/foot. Getting harder to put a lot of weight on knees.

Easy to do with the top down, even a FOM like me can do it. Top up, set and turn one leg at a time in.

What ever, however you do it, don't use the steering wheel for leverage. Or you will be doing the sticky key fix.

😎. In' right leg butt left leg / out' left leg right leg slide to edge of seat and stand up.

 

I put my right leg in, sit,slide, and pull my left leg in. whilst my left hand is closing the door.

 

Hand on door, hand on wheel (for balance not force, slide right leg in to brake, butt swings in, hop over 6", swing left leg in, close door.

 

Slide across the hood...an jump thur the passengers window...with a-tuck an roll....Yeeeeeaa.

 

However I get into the Crossfire it is 3X easier than getting into my Wife's MGB.
