I doubt many of our youth, and some older, are aware of what happened that day or even care if they do.
Sad.

 

God forbid we teach recent history as it might upset some members of society by reminding them of the horrors their countries committed.
History is not politics.

I can't argue with you there; was just responding to a previous post.

 

I had a professor in college label it this way: History is dead political science.

Pearl Harbor is as important as it ever was. Unfortunately, with our 24 hour news cycle, it gets shuffled to the back. Even 9/11 is becoming way too distant a memory for most.

Too many ppl bury their head in the sand and say 'Not my problem'. WWII started out that way in Europe, invasion was a local problem until it was at the doorstep of one too many. Think about it.

The greatest generation, no more... It is too much 'trouble' for way too many who care only of themselves. Tick-tock, tick tock...
