Angry Car park dings - How can you prevent them!?

Life was great before the Crossfire, when I owned a Smart car and would park it anywhere, with no worry or fear of car park dings. Or returning to the car to find a new dent !!

However now in the Crossfire, I am super cautious - always looking for the farthest space, in the opposite corner of the car park. Plus coming back to the car and seeing another car parked alongside, I'm over there checking my wing and door for fresh dents!
Ideal situation would be to keep the Crossfire as a 2nd/weekend car - but where's the fun in that - car's are made to be driven, plus it can cause more problems for them, just being parked up about 300 days of the year!.

Any tips or experiences on how you park yours?

Mine is a Garage Queen; afraid of the dark, doesn't like to get her feet wet, driven 300-400 miles a year, barely qualifies as a weekend car and kept in immaculate condition and enjoyed very much. I have witnessed a nice car parked entirely by itself, yet a random shopping cart hit by a gust of wind sent it into the car. Daily drivers are always subject to more wear and tear and vulnerability, it's called LIFE. All one can do is be as careful as possible. Unfortunately others don't respect YOUR car and obviously not their own. Careful, it's a jungle out there.

Hello copperfieldkid, thank you for your response. Plus totally relate to all you say. Lucky you too, owning a Chrysler Crossfire Garage Queen - sounds more "museum piece" (mint specimin).

For a long time I bought cars I knew I didnt care alot about, because as soon as I start using them for work, commuting / weekend shops etc, inevitably they'd suffer their fair share of wear and tear (NO THANKS to other, inconsiderate motorists - pedestrians too!).
Have also been on the receiving end of having cars keyed too.

Already fitted a decent Dashcam in my Crossfire (considering I've only had it a few weeks). Plus have ordered the Rear camera too, that I'll install and integrate. At least that'll double my coverage, should anything untoward occur. Has Parking Mode.

Urban Jungle over here for sure!

I park as far away from Mall doors as I can after dropping of the wife if she is with me, sometimes I almost need a taxi to get back and forth. One day I parked next to a nice Porsche in the far reaches of the parking lot just as the guy got out of it, he gave an evil look and I said my car would protect one side of his car and one side of his car would protect mine. He then realized that we had circled the wagons as best we could and laughed.

Yes, this sounds like it's the only way. Plus walking an extra half an hour across the car park (from the farthest space) to the mall, to maintain a spotless Crossfire..... Priceless !!
The Porsche owner obviously had the same intentions.

I've come across these things, that you can stick to the side of you car with suckers (when you park). Then pull them off before driving off again. Might help a little !?

There's always Bubble wrap, and it's fun to pop those bubbles afterwards.

To be honest, with the disregard from other vehicle users in car parks, that might be the ONLY way !!
