It is an “Aerodynamic Auto” built by the Marten Aircraft Co in 1928. It was a one off built for a pilot. The pilot was famous flyer Billy Mitchell.

Colonel William "Billy" Mitchel commanded an Air Wing in WWI. That's the man the famous B-25 Mitchel - Medium Bomber was named after.
They made the first strike back at Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor, "Doolittle's Raid on Tokyo".
I showed my tour guide pictures of my Crossfire and he said he has never seen one on the road here in Stockholm or even anywhere in Sweden.
He was age 52 and was born here but has never seen a Crossfire here.
He enjoyed looking at many pictures of my car on my phone.
He did say it was a gorgeous car !!!

I've spent plenty of time on hooks, ladders, bucket trucks, and stepped poles. It's all catching up to me now that I'm older.
This pic is from 2014. I was climbing up to assist a tech in a bucket truck with a telephone company splice case.
She took the pic from the bucket truck. I've also lost a lot of weight since then! LOL
I went for a drive tonight and ended up stopping at a place I used to go to when I was in my teens.
I used to go and sit on the hull of the M5 Stewart tank and I would relax and think things through. There was no fence or plaque back then.
Going back after all these years brought back a lot of memories and it was very peaceful.
Some thoughts as we enter the holiday season ...
It is important to remember that not everyone is surrounded by large wonderful families.
Some have problems during the holidays and sometimes are overcome with great sadness when we remember the loved ones who are not with us.
And, many people have no one to spend these times with and are besieged by loneliness.
We all need caring, loving thoughts right now.
