Cool Wall behind the seats???

Hi, I am thinking about buying a Crossfire. I currently have a Mini Cooper S, so I am used having little room. My husband and I drive to work (35 mins one way) together each day. We take turns, I drive in the morning and he drives home.

In the morning on the way to work, he like to lean the seat back and take a short nap. I noticed that in the crossfire, there is a "wall" behind the seats and was wondering if that is removable, what is it's function? We were looking at a 2004 standard coupe, if that makes any difference. This is a big decision factor seeing that we spend over a hour every day in it, not to mention the trips that we plan on taking.

Help!!
Thanks.

Are you both tall?

Only way you are gonna recline like first class is to move seat forward...which then will shorten your leg room up.

My wife who is tall has slept in the passenger seat from Chicago to the Ozarks Twice,My wife is around 5'10".

So it can be done.

On weekends she naps for about 45 minutes for part of the ride to our summer home.....So it can be done and has.

Ya just can't get close to Horizontal.

Thanks. I did read that forum but thought that since it was talking about suspension, it figured it meant somewhere underneath. The picture of raw body helps alot.

Thanks again.

Well Goldie, it is a good news/bad news deal regarding your question. No, you really can't recline the XFire seats to any great degree. The more you recline the seat, the more the need to slide the seat forward because of the seat hitting the bulkhead.

However, the good news is that as the Xfire makes for great driving and plenty of admiring glances, your spouse won't feel the need to nap.

Hey, get a roadster, drop the top and for sure there won't be any napping occurring.
