Re: Crossfire fonts
Anyone have it?
I'd appreciate it as I've resorted to making my own garage posters using my own pics and some from the Tail of the Dragon... and if anyone knows/has a large Chrysler logo that’d be great too! |
Re: Crossfire fonts
In order to make the letters for the sun visors on the bears I used an alphabet template that had the squat fat letter style then drew in the lines. Another suggestion is to take paper/pencil and make a rubbing of the letters on the kick/foot plate at the door sill. You can then modify them to creat the letters you need. I think there is a font that is in general a good match, can't remember the name, but you'd still have to put the lines in by hand.

Re: Crossfire fonts
I've got a bookmark on my computer at home to a website with free hi res .eps images of various logos, including the Crossfire lettering. It isn't a font per se, but rather a vector graphic of the lettering found on the back of the car. This should suit your purpose for sign or banner making as vector graphics can be scaled infinitely without becoming pixelated.
I'll post a link later tonight when I get home. After I walk the dog. And have dinner. Hey, I've got priorities ya know!!!! |
Re: Crossfire fonts
This one is close to it. Look for the one named KINEX. http://cooltext.com/Fonts-Iconian+Fonts

Re: Crossfire fonts
OK, out of the goodness of my heart I'm posting this before walking the dog and eating dinner. :D
Go to http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/ and just type in crossfire. It's a stupid multi step process but you end up with a nice, clean .eps vector graphic of the CROSSFIRE logo and if you have Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop you can resize at will with no loss of quality, alter color, etc. |

Re: Crossfire fonts
Anyone know somebody that works in Chrysler's marketing department?? That's probably the only way you're going to get the actual fonts.
But the downloaded graphic sure helps! Thanks! :) |
Re: Crossfire fonts
I'm going to work on an actual font package in the crossfire font. It sucks that it is so tedious to make them though. Hope to have them done tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Crossfire fonts
They're done! Well the uppercase alphabet at least. I'll work on the numbers tomorrow. I probably won't do lower case as I don't think they'd get used for one and I think they will look terrible if I did spend the time to make them.
Enjoy! http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/2...previewqc5.jpg |
