Default Dim center dash stack illumination HELP!!

Sorry guys if this has been posted before. Just purchased a brand new 2008 Crossfire limited sticker $38,415.00 for $22,500. I noticed that the HVAC, radio illumination, pwr window seat heater switches are WAY too dim that the speedo cluster. I could barely see the switches to make changes. Please tell me this isn't normal. The dealer sales person said he could not make it any brighter. I bought the car anyway because of the price. Please help before I take delivery tonite!!

Hate to be the one...it is normal. I asked the dealership to fix it and they said "sorry". I don't like it either.

Thank you. Shocking to say the least on a car this expensive. My $15K Accent has better dash illumination.

yes, unfortunately, it's normal, but the good news is that you get used to it and at night it's enough to see ok. the one I don't like is the garage door opener module. I'm always fumbling around for the right one and where it is. I'm going to paint it with glo-paint just for that

This is "standard" on the XF, although perhaps someone savvy with electronics could help you make it brighter.

Eventually you will know where all the controls are and you won't need to look - just like using the pedals or stick-shift.

The way it is! Make sure you turn your dimmer **** all the way to max setting. Put an extra battery in the trunk and run in series for 24V, that's the ticket!
