I'm getting ready to install some dynamat or be-quiet sound proofing in the trunk behind the seat and in the bottom of trunk anyone had any experence with this stuff looks like it's fairly easy to work with

Cut close to size, peel & stick, rubber hammer in to place (careful on exterior panels). Or use a roller on flat surfaces. Trim excess. Complete contact is the key.

Have you already purchased? If not, try this... MUCH cheaper and it's basically the same stuff.

Peel & Seal at Lowe's: 6" X 25' Aluminum Roof Repair

Yes it does. I have never used it, but many swear by it. Negatives that I have heard: Smells bad for up to a week, must be sure to properly heat the surface with a heat gun prior to installation or the P&S will later peel off, and must ensure to sufficiently roll all areas out good (tennis ball works well).

Exactly, I have heard nothing but bad things about asphalt based products that deaden. How they smell funky, how they don't stick good when it comes to hot weather, and how they are messy. I personally wouldn't go that route. =/

In my experience, this stuff doesn't work all that well for soundproofing. I think it may have some purpose as far as reducing rattling or vibration, but doesn't really cut actual outside noise.

Much better stuff is acoustic noise absorbing urethane foam - available at McMaster or Grainger. Cheaper and lighter.

I went to lowe's and checked out the roof seal ,,,too much tar smell ,,I went ahead and ordered the b-quiet Ultimate going to use in trunk and door panels ,,I will let you'all know how it works when I get it installed ,,i'm taking advantage of the winter downtime and adding goodies as i get them......

Again thanks for all the input..

another key is to use the deadener when its warm!! cold weather makes it harder to mold to the area being deadened.
