Default A/C problem. Clutch engages, but no cold air.

Self explanatory?
Everything seems correct and all fuses are fine. Blower blows, heat works. Ambient air or hot air only. At rest or 80 mph.
Just no cold air.
Dealer time? Any one else?

I have seen where the a/c compressor still engages but does not get cold, it was a bad compressor where the pressures are equeling out, you mave also have a restiction within the system itself, you will need gauges to see this though.I,m sure someone else will chime in as well with more info.

Throw a gauge on the suction side of the compressor to see if the compressor is pumping or not. They ususally fail with noise, so Iam gonna guess that the charge is lost. Gauges are not costly. Woody.

Thanks, bud. But it's under warranty and I'm not learning a new trade at my age!

But since you mention it when the clutch engages there is NO noticeable change in RPM or load. None. It's like the shaft is sheared off inside the compressor.

Go figure!
