Default Gauge cluster and center console lights out

So after work last night I pop into my car, start her up, and noticed the inside was somewhat darker. I then noticed that the back lights behind the gauge cluster and the entire center console(minus the cd player) lights were out. Has anyone had this happen before, or maybe know of a solution of the top of their head?

Note: Fuses have not yet been checked but I'm looking through the manual to try to find the right one.

Well, this might be stating the obvious, but have you checked to ensure that you did not inadvertently turn the console dimmer all the way down. Other than that, fuses would be my next guess.

Hahaha. Yes, the dimmer is not the cause of the problem.

I've been having a similar problem, but only one light is out. From what I can tell, there are four bulbs in the center console (where the tachometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, etc are). One of those bulbs went out for me - I don't know if its a fuse issue or not, but it's incredibly annoying.

I found a thread by Cross-fired where he actually whited out the entire console. I went in to my local modifications shop to see if they could do something similar and he suggested I go on the forums and find out what kind of bulbs it requires and bring them in for him to replace for me (since I don't know how to take apart the console).

So now I'm back to square one. I have no idea what kind of bulbs to use, I've been to Autozone, etc and none of them could help me and my local dealer just got bought out by a used car dealership (ironically selling a Crossfire), so I can't go to the dealer for them to figure it out.

I suppose I should rule out the fuses but I didn't think there were individual fuses for each lightbulb in the console... if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.

EDIT: I just read the parts manual, page 89 of the 2004 Crossfire's manual had a list of the parts for Instrument Cluster. Looks like there's only 2 bulbs in there, P/N 05098391AA. Unfortunately, it didn't include any other information. I did notice that there was another kind of bulb in our instrument cluster, P/N 05098808AA, but there are 23 of them in there - 12V @ 1.5W. I'm not really sure if there's a way to change the bulbs out, and if so, to change them to a different color. I'd like to make my console lights glow red, but I'm not sure how I'd do that. If anyone has any additional information, I'd really appreciate it.

EDIT 2: Here's a screenshot of the info I pulled from the manual:

The bulbs X2 are for the turn signals. the other 23 comprise the rest of the cluster lights. (part# 05098808AA)

Changing the color of your cluster lights is a little more involved than just changing the bulbs.

Check out this sticky post for all the gory details.

This does not look like a job for the tech challenged...:
