Default Door lock ring thingy's

Does anyone know what holds the ring around the door lock pulls on? I tried taking mine off to put chrome ones on and all they do is spin. Is there a nut on the otherside? The chrome ones have threads on them, thats why I'm assuming there is a nut. Any help or pics would be appreciated

This is the only picture I have of the inside of the door panel. Not much help though.
The one in my gallery can be seen in better detail, look in the window adjustment album.

I put chrome ones on my car and they were also threaded If they are the same ones I have stop right now and dont put them in your car. Once you get the origional black ones out (I don't think they had threads), the chrome ones dont go in easy and when they finally do get all the way in they wiggle around loosly.
