Default Introduction: Supermile presents you the gated shifter kit

Hi community!

To begin with, I would like to congratulate you all on this great forum for Crossfire owners and fans from around the world. It is nice to see that there is such a big and active community for Crossfire enthusiasts in the USA.

I would love to introduce myself and my company. My name is Oliver and I am the founder and managing director of the company Supermile in Germany. Supermile designs and develops exclusive and extraordinary accessories kits of highest quality for outstanding cars. Our products are manufactured in limited numbers by specialists in Germany.

For Chrysler Crossfire, we offer a product so far worldwide unique. Metal gated shifter for retrofitting as you will only find in the best and the most expensive sports cars in the world. We had no doubts that a gated shifter would be a great match especially to Crossfire with its unique and excitingly sporty design. Quite incidentally, I am a big fan of this car myself.

Our goal was to develop retrofitable shift gates which not only looked like those built in famous Italian sports cars but also created the same shifting feeling- along with the gear shift metallic clicking sound, typical of gated shifters. And we can proudly claim that we have succeeded.

The retrofit kit was a product of an especially intensive development and engineering process and each part is crafted with effort and high precision.

Let's take the gear selector gate as an example:
The very complex and high- precision geometry of the gearshift gate ensures that the gear gates are perfectly aligned with each gate and tilt angle of the gear shift. That means the gates are cut at proper angles and not just at 90 degrees, to aid in gear selection just like the big boys do it.
Due to its complex geometry, the gear selector gate can only be manufactured on special CNC milling machines that have five axes (5-axis machining center). To compare: conventional CNC machines are equipped with only two or three axes. This distinctive feature and many more details of our retrofit kit make the manufacturing very expensive. For the gear selector gate, we use a worldwide best and hardest aluminum alloy (EN AW-7075).
The blanks are subsequently polished and receive a chrome-satin finish coating in a multistage galvanic process.

Because of a structural difference between the limited and the base model, regarding the position of gearshift lever in neutral, the adapter is available in two model- specific variants. There is a slight difference however, for the gated shifter to function properly in the vehicle, the best possible match to the specific model is necessary. Optically, one can tell the difference only by the position of the gear selector gate on the adapter. To be able to compensate for the common manufacturing tolerances, our product provides individual adjustment possibilities (only if necessary).

Moreover, the adapter is available in two different coatings and the aluminum ***** are offered in two surface finishes to choose from.
All the variants are in terms of color perfectly optimized for the interiors of Crossfire-You have the choice.

We sell the product on the sales platform Ebay. The retail price amounts to $ 349.00 plus $ 25 for shipping.

Here is the link to the offer: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290767179334?item=290767179334&viewitem=&sspagenam e=ADME:L:LCA:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

There is also a new video:

You may also order the product directly from us by email. For you, it has the advantage of buying the product at a price lower by $ 26 which is the sales fee charged by Ebay which we can deduct from the price since we won't need to pay to Ebay.
As a result, the price for an order by email amounts to only $ 323.00 plus $ 25 shipping. The payment can be made by advance payment via PayPal.

I would like to conclude that we are a reputable German company and you don't need to worry about the transaction security. As soon as an order is received, we will send the product within two work days. Should you be not satisfied with the product (very hard to imagine), you have full right of return within 14 days of receiving goods. You will be refunded for the purchase price deducting the shipping costs. Please bear in mind that we can't take back the goods already installed and used.

Customer service and customer satisfaction are our top priority at Supermile.

I will be gladly available in forum and naturally also by email if any questions or if you need any information. You reach me by email at the following address: oliver.muehling@supermile.com

I look forward to your contact!

My very best regards from Frankfurt am Main, Germany

Oliver Muehling

What other products do you have? I only see the shift gate.

I will be in Wiesbaden in November. Would it be possible for me to check it out in person, and if I like it save myself the shipping charges by picking one up in person while I am there?
Thanks

Bump for a great company to deal with.

I have contacted Oliver on numerous occasions to obtain info on the shifter, and was always responded to in a timely fashion.

The price offered is a great deal, and if I still had a car with a 6MT I'd be buying this mod today.

Best of luck to Supermile

We have been discussing these since you created the base specific model a while back.

Glad to see you made one for the much more common limited model as well, and they both look fantastic.

I would worry about a gate slowing me down in shifting, but have never driven one aggresively so I am not set in this opinion. I am looking forward to someone grabbing one and letting us know how they like it, unless you need a well respected member to 'test' one out If that is the case, please let me know...

Is it possible to use the factory shift **** on the shaft provided in this kit? I like the look of the factory ****, and I've painted the recessed numbers to match the paint on my car so I'd like to keep that if possible. Otherwise I think this is a beautiful kit!

Mike,

I've had the **** off from my Limited, and I recall the base being very unsightly due to the locking collar. This part is normally concealed by a shift boot. Without the boot, the **** would look very out of place IMO.

Agreed, I think you would need to lop off the bottom of the OEM **** and thread the OEM hole, if you could, to make it look like it belonged...

@Mike-in-Orange

I am very glad that you like the gated shifter.

Unfortunately the standard shiftknob can not be used without any modification.
On this occasion I want to show you a different gear ****:

This is the Audi R8 shift **** - pure luxury.

Question.... The pics of the crossfire that is modeling its beautiful interior....... is that Carbon fiber wrap??? It looks almost like its pieces rather than wrap. In any case I love it all and want the above **** with the shiftgate and all those cf pieces.. As soon as my budget allows lol.

The dark interior of our Crossfire are genuine Chrysler parts. I am not sure if these were available in the United States.
In Germany, it was called the "interior package exclusiv".

One of our customers has a two-tone painted interior.
It looks very nice.

THanks for this great looking shifter. I just had to pay $1000 to have my sons jeep sent accross the country. Waiting on a couple of side job checks to come in. Plan on ordering one next week. Spare me the read, how long does it take to get one shipped state side? BTW I tried to order one when they were for sale last year so I have been waiting for a while. At one point I had considered what it would take to have one made. You did all the work for much less than I would have spent just fabricating the gated plate. Can't Wait. Trying to have it for the Fall Dragon.

Just received my gated shifter in the mail. The quality of the shifter is better than I was expecting. I am very impressed with the packaging and instructions as well. I cannot wait to install shifter. I would do it now but have to go to work in a little while. I have two court dates tomorrow and training, and I am scheduled to work tomorrow night as well. At the latest I will have it in Wednesday with pics.
