Interior Paint Repair Video
Saw this video on U Toob on repainting R170 interiors.
The paint he's using is available from here VOLICO.de - von Liebenstein Consulting - EU SHOP
Or eBay http://stores.ebay.ca/volicode?_trksid=p2047675.l2563
Looks like a winner, winner chicken dinner.

Who in their right mind would paint over a finish that is peeling off? The old paint should be stripped and painted properly. What is shown is something that will last five minutes.

SEM classic coat is made in the Xfire colors, sprays on and looks great. I have used the dark charcoal interior color myself. Also, leatherworks sells a leather, vinyl dye to match our interiors and it too, works great.
In the links to the seller Volico, they say they're the OEM supplier. Granted he's using the paint meant for minor touch-up to do a major refinish and his prep work could be better,
There's this video showing a complete repaint using spray cans of cleaner, primer then paint.
I'll check out the SED and Leatherworks stuff. It's probably less expensive than the Volico.
The dash in my 2000 Silverado does the same thing too, maybe SED has a color for it as well.

But I'm a cynic by nature.
I'd like to find someone selling the "Cedar" paint. I have only found 1 site with leather paint/dye that claims to match "Cedar". I would like to try coloring some items to match my interior.
This would be great for the minor touchup needed on my interior. Anyone know the name for the light grey interior? The seller seems to only have the charcoal listed for sale. I would love to ask them for the light grey color by the proper name.
I have an Aero Blue with dark grey interior. The paint was peeling on the interior and revealing the black plastic underneath. I took out the dash and console, removed the rubberized paint with Easy-Off oven cleaner and repainted with Krylon satin black paint. Looks brand new!
