Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
wow , just noticed this thread has had over 2200 hits now,
but there are no leather pics from anyone but me ! ? . none on facebook either .. wtf , they sell herds of xf interior leather kits on ebay , where are they all? |
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
haha ok at last , some pics!
Big job ! Interesting .. are you doing the doors as well ? How did you get a carbon fibre drivers air vent without covering the up the white markers too ? whats up with the glovebox ? mine was too tight with the leather folded in, not enough clearance . I like the center consol with the start button . thanks for sharing |

That is the problem I have with the glovebox. I have done the door cards as above to match the seats. The switch cover was hydrodipped and the I painted the white markers with a very fine white permanent marker. |
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
door looks great , i may have to buy a set of those. oh
ok i see its painted did you see the pic i just posted of how i overcame my glovebox clearance problem by folding the leather ? https://www.crossfireforum.org/g/album/8970568 |
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
ps , great job with the fine paint marker, did you trace them out first ? or can you still see them thru the dip >
|
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
I tried tracing them out but in the end did it free hand copying a picture of the original switch.

Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
No passenger airbag now ??
|
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
Wow, looks good
|
Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
still the airbag in place ,and the one in the passenger door, but yes I don't know if it would still work .I will not have that many passengers in my car so it is a small price to pay for individuality.

Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
Nicely done, fellas. Looking to do similar work on mine as well. Are there instructions on the forum on how to remove the interior pieces (glove box, center console, etc.)? Can't seem to find anything. Thanks for any guidance you can provide..

Re: J-F-Customs Leather kit
This is amazing! Can anyone point me to where I can find the steering wheel in the first pic in cedar and alcantara?
I ordered some cedar leather from them. Hope I don’t mess this up as my cedar interior is mint, but want to have a full leather interior like my Porsche. |
