Well after almost 70,000 miles and almost no issues it looks like I have one of the bulbs in the dash out. I saw the "changing dash bulb color thread " but it doesn't have good pictures. Is there a better write up about removing the instrument cluster?

Don't worry about that end of the scale being dark, I hear you only drive at the faster speeds.
There is another post, I'll look tomorrow.
The dash removal is covered in the Service Manual though. You may or may not have to remove the steering wheel, but it would be easier to do so.
