Since I purchased the car a couple of weeks ago I had been exploring options on fixing or replacing worn seat covers. Being the vanilla and gray combo they showed the bolster wear and cracking and I couldn't live with it. Had a "restoration" service look at them. They could make them look much better, but said the cracks would come back over time. Took them to my upholstery guy and was given two options, vinyl ($420 apiece) or leather ($800 apiece). Decided to go with vinyl knowing I can always go back to leather. Guy did a great job matching colors. In addition removing the seats allowed me to deep clean carpet and clean and grease the power seat mechanisms.
