Hi guys!
I wanted to post pictures if the main areas of concern and see what you guys recommend. Do you think a touch up paint for leather would make this less visible? I am aware that wrinkles won't just magically disappear but would it be less noticable? To those who did touch up or refinished their seats ... did your's look like this? Worse? Same?
there are several alternatives to solve the wear of the seats:
1-so far, we have seen several ways to repair the damage due to wear by the use of some materials.
2-there are options like replacing the cover by buying seats, be with leather (but are worth several hundred dollars),
or using vinyl or other plastics (way cheaper).
3-or just buying covers to protect the original seats, be after repairing them, or just covering them.
so it's up to each 1 how to solve this.
the available covers that fit are not easy to find, in part due to the shape of the top, and to the specific dimensions.
but it also could help to discuss how to prevent causing damage to the seats by the way we enter and leave.
and/or by the use of an extra cushion that just floats over the seat. this way, as it slides when we sit, we put way less weight on the surface of the seat.
still, the vertical area of side gets rubbed.
approaching the seat by sitting across and then turning and getting the legs in brings less friction to the seat.
most people get their right leg in, then sit and get the left leg in.
this brings way more rubbing to the seat.
think about it.
and if some1 is considering buying covers, there are options like this: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2x-Black-PU-...ake%3AChrysler
