Paddle-shift kit for Crossfire (and Mercedes R170)
For SaleDrivetrain
Description:
Kit is normally $345, but is currently on sale for $295
This is THE paddle-shift kit for All automatic Crossfires (and Mercedes R170 sold after 2000). I created this kit in 2011 and since then, it has been installed in over 200 Crossfires and R170s.
The kit is complete and comes with all electronics (2 modules), fully connectorized wiring (4 harnesses), and all misc bits & hardware needed to professionally integrate the fully functional AMG paddle shifters to your Chrysler Crossfire or Mercedes R170 SLK (automatic transmission equipped only).
As some customers choose to source their own paddles, the paddles are optional. The recommended paddle is the AMG aluminum paddles (230 267 0046). They can be purchased from Mercedes Benz or online discount sellers for $240 to $350 , or I can supply them with the kit for $225/pair.
OR,
I can supply (subject to stock on hand) a used pair of Mercedes (black, plastic) paddles for $75/pair. The nice thing about the $65 option is that these paddles have an identical footprint to the AMG aluminum paddles (part Number 230 267 00 46), so if you wanted to change later, there is no further modification needed.
The kit has a complete, step-by-step, set of instructions covering every detail (and including over 50 annotated color pictures)
Here is what you get in the current kit (see pdf below) . The kit may look complicated, but, believe it or not, ONLY 1 wire is severed during the install. Every other connection piggy-backs onto existing circuitry.

I can supply them for $195/pair with the kit.
The used (black plastic) alternatives I stock are costing me more as well, so they are going up to $55/pair.
wish I had better news, but I suffer from this crazy economy like everyone else.
Cheers,
Chris
