Licence Plate Bracket
Wanted
Definitely interested as well! It's low on the priority list, but it *IS* on the list!
It is for sure going to happen.
Challenges
- printer bed is not wide enough for a whole (US/Canada size) plate. It will have to be 2 parts
- I do not know the distance that should be between the 2 mounting holes (to the bumper) so I will do my best and make it a little adjustable
I'll make 2 versions
1 - a thick version very similar to the OEM one for people who already have 2 holes to mount it or prefer it this way, thick enough to accommodate the x4 screws attaching the plate to the mount
2 - a very thin version for people unfortunate enough to already have 2 giant screw holes matching the top holes of a plate (like me) because the dealership or previous owner was a heathen and just screwed things directly in the plastic - or people who justprefer a very thin mount. This mount will essentially be a spacer matching the shape of the bumper and allowing the plate to be mounted flat without getting bent out of shape.
Material will be ABS, likely dark grey. It may or may not have foam or indents to place foam pads bumper side to avoid scratches.
As for price or file availability to print yourself I have no idea yet - postal services in and from Canada are ridiculously expensive, and I have no idea yet on print time and material cost.
