Any Milwaukee area owners?
Re: Any Milwaukee area owners?
Hey All!
I'm in Oak Creek! I got my Crossfire in May. It's just too cool. I've done a few small mods but mostly just really enjoying the drive. May be we can rustle up a little interest and meet somewhere for a Packers game or something before the snow starts to fly.

Re: Any Milwaukee area owners?
I know this original post is pretty old, but I just got my Alabaster Roadster last month and have learned quite a bit from this forum. Are there any Crossfire gatherings in the Milwaukee area this Fall, 2008?
Also, can anyone in Milwaukee suggest a good dealership to get service done at? I live downtown and work in Germantown, so either of those areas are convenient for me. I am getting close to needing an oil change and only want to take it to a reputable service shop.

Re: Any Milwaukee area owners?
I've been out of the Milw. area for nearly 25 yrs. now so I can't help you in the specific shop department BUT any decent repair shop/dealer around would be sufficient. Just make sure you stress the right oil for the car or they'll probably assume that you're using 5W-30 & go with it.
There's a local guy up here that I go to & he's more than happy to do the actual change, I've even supplied my own filter & oil. Like he's told me in the past: it doesn't make any difference to him, he still makes money off of the labor. I can certainly get the oil a lot cheaper by the case!
Living downtown probably doesn't give you much access to your own garage, I'm assuming.
You do, of course, know that you're probably driving city planners insane: you live downtown & drive to the 'burbs. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
BTW, what ever happened to the smooth, wonderful Milw. streets? Last time I was down there visiting my sister Silver Spring Dr. was/is a disaster! I don't think I've driven ANY roads up here in sticksville that have been that bad!

Re: Any Milwaukee area owners?
I think that is a great idea to go to a local place and supply my own oil and filter. I have access to a garage, but never have enough time in the day to get everything done. I typically use my lunch hour for errands like oil changes. I would move to the 'burbs, but really like the downtown atmosphere and ironically it is cheaper than the town I work in. So, as usual, I am being difficult
This winter was hard on the roads. My winter car needed lots of front end work from hitting too my ruts and potholes. I dirve extra miles to avoid the rough streets with my Crossfire.
Thanks for the advice, I'll take it.
