Where/who did you buy your XF from and how much? If you don't mind me asking...
I hope it wasn't from Olathe or Lee Summit Chrysler.
Kansas City area SRT-6 owner here. I have been waiting and watching for any group outings. I attended one of the High Performance MOPAR
"cruises" and no one would talk to me. Perhaps I was too high performance?
A note about the Olathe dealer - I went there first as they had several 2006 Roadsters available and asked them if they could find me an SRT-6 for around $25000. They told me "That is a unheard of price - impossible", so I found my own.

Is Olathe Dodge in the same group as the others? I see that Olathe Dodge is combining with Olathe Chrysler on 119th Street. I wonder if they are all in the same group, or Olathe Dodge is owned by someone else that bought the Chrysler dealership?
Where did you go to get yours worked on that tried to tell you a Limited was an SRT-6?

I had mine worked on at Keystone Chrysler in Mission on Johnson Drive. I bought locking lug nuts from them and had my heater coils replaced.
I wasn't too impressed with thier service, but it didn't have anything to do with the XF.
Parts department wasn't familiar with the car, had to look up to see if they had a certified XF tech, they did find the part, but didn't know if they needed a pair or a single.
They ordered the part, but never called me when it came in. When I did come in, they couldn't find the part because they had sent it to thier body repair shop. Finally found it and got it installed within a couple hours.
Everyone in parts and service were friendly and helpful. Oh.. one other thing.
I paid retail for the locking lug nuts because I wanted them quickly. They charged me labor to put them on (lol) and then they transposed the numbers on the sales ticket. They tried to charge me $85 after taxes!!
Anyways, I corrected it and paid them the $58. Sometimes you just pay a little extra for convienance. I had to leave Kansas the next day.
Did you ever find out if they had a XF certified tech at Keystone?
I was thinking about Bud Brown on Metcalf - I think they are the biggest Chrysler dealer around. I have intermittent fuel pump problems but I don't know which would be worse - taking it to the dealer or hoping the fuel pump doesn 't go out.
I would have liked to talk to you when you were in KC - but due to illness/vacations/childbirth etc at my job I am working about 60 hrs a week. Hopefully people will decide to come back to work after the first of the year.

Yes. Keystone has a certified XF tech and Viper tech.
I don't know a thing about Bud Brown, sorry.
I'll be sure to post when I'm heading out to KC again.
There is a slim possibility it will be next week for XM, but I really won't know until this weekend or Monday.

If you're in the KC area any time in the near future, check out the black SRT-6 roadster the Franklin Suzuki dealer in Olathe has for sale. It belongs to the sister of the sales manager - he is trying to sell it for her. Only 8000 miles and looks beautiful - but I haven't examined it up close. They park it out in front of the dealership on sunny days and must keep it in the garage when it snows. The only problem is that they want $31000 for it - a tad overpriced but perhaps they will negotiate.
I appreciate it. But it looks like your going to get 3 back to back winter storm fronts comming your way. 2 inches in the next couple days and 3-4 projected on the 2nd one.
Doesn't look like I'll be in KC due to weather.

You can blame that on me. The Crossfire is my daily driver. When I was looking to buy it a couple of months ago, the conversation went something like this:
Them: Are you sure you want a rear-wheel drive car in the winter?
Me: No problem, it only snows about three times in the winter anyway.
So I have jinxed the weather. Luckily, this car and the Continental tires have impressed me tremendously thus far.
(runs to find a piece of wood to knock on)

I live in KCK near the Legends / Nascar Track....bought a new 07 Limited 6 spd on 12/5/07 $20K + 2003 Alero strippo with serious cosmetic issues & 80K miles......from Lees Summit Dodge/Chrysler......very happy! Have discovered needs to rev to 2-3K to avoid balkyness of 1-2-3 shifts.....Machine Grey Crystal Pearl.
Sounds like you got a good deal - glad you are happy. Do you know if the Lees Summit dealer has any Crossfire certified techs?
I found my SRT at a Chrysler dealer in El Dorado Springs, MO. Who would have thought? They had it on the showroom floor - said they don't get too many "fancy" cars in as they sell mostly trucks to the farmers.
Did you happen to be in Gardner about a week ago? I saw a machine gray
Crossfire on Main Street and waved furiously, even though I was sitting in traffic on a side street and knew they didn't see me.
I'm on the I-35 speedway all the time, occasionally on I-435. Perhaps I will
see you some day. I'll be the SSB blur.

I don't know if that dealership has a Crossfire trained tech....it's over 40 miles away & probably won't go back except for the first free oil change. I was homing in on a MazdaSpeed 3 for weeks until I saw the AD ($14K off Crossfires).....the solid nature & fantastic looks for less $ than a "sleeper-practical" MS3 turned me instantly to pick the Xfire. Had no clue regarding their genetics till the AD made me investigate the car. Always been into small 2 seat coupes.....had a '73 Triump GT6 MkIII back in the 70s...this little Xfire is everything that GT6 should have been , but wasn't.....
As fun as this Limted is....can't imagine what a hoot your SRT6 is.....
You been out to the Legends yet? We used to go fishing where the Yard House is located.

I have kinda been the new car ambassador. Don't let one slow night keep you away, it takes awhile to get to know people.
As for the too high perf, you musta missed Chris with his blown Viper
putting 8XX hp to the ground.
I had too much going on around Christmas to catch the E-Messiah while he was here, but hope to meet you and him during the next cruise season.

Buck70, how often and where do you hold the rides you speak of? I have had my '04 Crossfire for just under 1 year. These are absolutely wonderful automobiles. They truely put the thrill back in driving.
