Have any of you guys/gals looked into the Shawnee hills wine trail? It is a good time. If you look at Shawnee wine trail online about half of the wineries is on the list. Lots of cabin rentals around here. If anyone wants to try it I can show them around.
Take one day driving the roads and another renting one of the short busses that drive around the wineries "so we can enjoy and have someone else drive"

Hello Guys,
Hope you guys are doing good. Please does anyone know of an independent crossfire electrical mechanic? This will really help me tremendously as am trying to get my car to run. I am down in Norwalk, Iowa. I will need someone that knows a lot about the electronics and possibly how to program the computers.

A very experienced CF tech:

He is located in the the Chicago area but has traveled to other cities to work on CF. You will pay his expenses to do so.

OR, You have to find a chrysler dealer with a trained Crossfire tech or you could take it to mercedes, its the SLK 320 platform exactly, if I understand accurately. Mercedes will chuckle but they should take your money to fix the vehicle.

Another thought, when I purchased my CF a year agao, I purchased a 5 year extended warranty from Chrysler, I paid $3200, have use it 2X in one year. May have a leak in the back (small) but plan to pursue every repair needed for the $100 flat fee. You should contact several dealers, the warranty prices vary.

I was in contact with Rudy for the past few weeks. He was suppose to come up last Tuesday (sent him the travel expense) but he had an emergency to travel overseas. So thats why i am looking for someone else that could do it for me. I don't know exactly when he is going to be back. I am thinking chrysler as the last choice but will prefer a standalone tech that wouldn't mind traveling. I heard about all the bad things the dealership does.

Another thought for your newly purchased 07 from CarMax- I too purchased an 07 last year and discovered that extended warranties are available. You can buy one from Chrysler (in which I did) or other companies that cover any vehicle. I paid $3200 to Chrysler but the cost varied from dealer to dealer over $1000. Other companies are less price. I have used the warranty 2x, had the vehicle towed 1X (only $100 coverage for towing thus far) but I figured that any Mercedes engine is very costly to repair. Since your vehicle may not be running now, I don't know what the wait time to use the warranty would be if any. If you have the bucks, I highly suggest the extended warranty. There is a $100 fee for any repair that is covered under the warranty. Visit any Chrysler dealer and let them sell you, take lots of notes and ask many questions. I'm glad I purchased the warranty. Many on the forum would say I overpaid for the CF but if you purchased from CarMax, you paid "top" dollar as compared to a private party. The private owner just bought new tires and replaced the front windshield due to some chips in the glass at eye level. I figured I would own the CF for quite sometime and would enjoy every extra penny that may have over paid. I have the "mercedes" edition that was highly criticized on the forum 6 months prior to the private owner placing the ad again. The Chrysler IS a Mercedes. I don't know if the owner was on the forum but he took very good care of the vehicle. Every time I rub a damn curb, ding a door, I apologize to him, out loud! Good luck, the CF is fun to drive. The forum is a great place for some great advice from very knowledgeable CF owners. Rudy Compart is great. When does he return?
