Still on the fence (for different reasons from FP) about going on Sunday. I'll post up tonight whether I'm coming. I have to get some stuff done today, which leaves tomorrow for more crap to do, so we'll see.

Today the wheels are getting cleaned and changed, the car washed, and getting the fluids winterized (in TX the rad fluid is 50/50, thats not good for here)

EDIT: Riot, I actually moved up to Oakbrook. I was living down there because my company was paying for my apartment, it's too far to my office from there. I'm just north of 88, by Butterfield and Midwest (if that means anything to you) haha. I'm still looking at the different maps, to see if there is a better place to meet and roll out.

 

well, that would be 3+ hours for me...I will see what the weather is...if its a nice day, I could drive her to the Dragon and back....

Dicks Sporting Goods 1:00 today

 

Ok, not gonna be able to make it. Having some serious car issues, that make the car undriveable by my standards and I'm sure most of everyone else's on the forum.


Really did want to go, then got a serious kick in the pants yesterday. After spending the morning installing my winter wheels, I realized that they need 20mm lug bolts instead of the stock 25mm. So after putting on all four winter rims/tires (but not driving) I re-installed the OEM rims. Then decided to go to Discount Tire to get a "professional" opinion. Wrong move. An hour later and $150 lighter I had 20mm lugs and all four wheels installed. They pulled it off the rack said everything was fine. I get in it, and everything is not fine. The front wheels were rubbing a bit. So I checked, and then had them re-install the OEM's on the front because I needed to get out of there.




Long story, a little less long. I now have OEM's on teh front and winters on the rear, and left ALL the extra/remaining lug bolts at Discount Tire. I am still having some serious noise issues in the rear that came up after I left, and Discount Tirre is closed today. I am stuck today and am going to take care of it tomorrow morning.

EDIT: Solution, I need 5mm spacers not 5mm shorter bolts. I'm ordering a set of 4 today, and then tomorro wam going back to raise hell til they give me that $150 back. I'm not happy.

Very frustrating I am sure.
It looks like a fairly small gtg today so just kick back and relax a bit and don't let it get ya down.
