I'll bet a lot of peole would like to know how he did this. It was a fairly simple and economical proceedure.
If my Xfire was Black, I would do it.
He should post it in the proper foum.

If you can't black chrome them, then I think you need to really look at pictures and decide what you really like better.
Took 2nd place at gateway this last tuesday. The weather was horrible that day and i was runing on bald tires that night to finish them off but ran very well considering. I'll be back for the June 30th event with fresh tires and a few modifications under my sleeve. My reation time was horrible i was just focusing on keeping the car from going sideways on the crappy tires.
JUNE 16th, 2009 STLSR.COM SPORT TUNER SHOWDOWN FINAL ROUND
Pos Name Hometown ST Vehicle R.T. ET MPH
W Dan Harris St. Louis MO 04 232 Mustang 0.152 12.405 107.46
RU Brian Detert St. Louis MO 05 195 Crossfire 0.544 12.564 110.70
Like “Moose” Mallicoat in the SCSS, Dan Harris has been dominant in the 2009 St. Louis Street Racing.com Sport Tuner Showdown. Appearing in his sixth consecutive final round of the season, the driver of the “Six Bang ‘Stang” recouped from his slowing performance and runner-up on June 10th to earn his third STSS title.
After a dismal best last week of 12.67/102.71 despite the fact his rear-wheel-drive V6 Mustang had run as quick as 12.15 during the early season, Harris returned to form with a 12.405/107.28 to barely lead the qualified field. Only six hundredths of second behind the red Ford was the always-potent silver 2005 Chrysler Crossfire of Brian Detert, who coaxed a 12.46/112.40 from his RWD six-cylinder rig. The rest of the Top Five included Jim Garrison’s silver 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4, (a career-best 13.03/112.44), John Siner’s impressive black 219-inch six-cylinder 2005 Cadillac CTS, (13.56/105.27), and Dale Skaggs’ 97-inch black 2000 Honda Civic, (14.35/96.46),
During the May 19th event, Detert led qualifying with a 12.20/112.87, (the quickest six-cylinder run of the year to date), over Harris but was unable to appear for eliminations. In the duo’s first official meeting for a championship, however, Harris was ready. A huge holeshot and a second consecutive 12.405 from the past High School Eliminator Season Champion put the nitrous-aided Ford ahead of the Crossfire’s 12.56/110.70. “The only thing we changed from last week was have the guys at Memory Lane Customizing and Fabrication in Cool Valley (MO) put new spark plugs in it”, said Harris while accepting his third winner’s trophy of the year. “Apparently, that’s all it needed because it ran the same number twice…to the thousandth of a second!”. Despite the runner-up, Detert’s unique Crossfire was still the subject of much conversation during awards ceremonies in front of the main grandstands. “Not many people realize the SRT-6 version of these cars was available from the factory with a supercharged AMG Mercedes-Benz 3.2-liter V6 engine“, said the six-feet-six driver of the diminutive MoPar two-seater. “The engine is rated at 330 horsepower in stock form. I’ve added a different size blower drive pulley and an intake but, other than that, the car runs in the low twelves with basically stock parts and a five-speed automatic“.

Winery Visit June 28
Debby and I are planning on going to Sugar Creek on Hwy 94 this Sunday if anyone would care to join us. We will be there around noon so we can get a seat in the shade. They are offering live music that day.
