CCC - Meet on Sunday, April 26???
They closed school today so I have a three day weekend. I'm up for a drive if the weather holds. Extended forcast shows 71 on Sat. 4/25 and 70 on Sunday 4/26. Where do you want to go?

I good either way, Bishops Castle may have two much snow. Remember this time last year? Or we can find something out side of Denver if it will be easier for the group. Just let me know what you all decide, I also have phone numbers for a lot of the group if you want me to give them all a reminder.
Yes!!! And...maybe...
Here's the problem, Bladecutter wants to tag along - "slumming" in his Porsche
. That in itself is not the issue. Bear with me, I'm trying to be the caring S.O. here - that's a 6 hour drive for us (Salida/roundtrip) and he is still having quite a bit of knee and ankle pain (fall out from the hip surgery). Although his spirit is willing, this'll be the first drive since the hip replacement and I'm pretty sure his leg isn't going to like him at all if he pushes it that long at this point in time. And yeah, he refuses to be in my Crossfire for six hours (the snob, lol).
Anyplace closer we could meet up with you guys? Or is there a road between Denver and the Springs that might work? We'll totally be up for the longer rides in a month or two when his leg is in better driving condition.

We have had a request to start later on Sunday. How about meeting on the SW side of Denver around 1PM and then drive up highway 6 to Blackhawk?

Looks like we have quite a group going. Here are the details. If anyone wants to make changes/suggestions, let me know!
Details:
When: Sunday, April 26 @ 12:30PM (for lunch)/1:30-1:45PM departure time for drive
Where: IHOP – 12634 W Indore Place, Littleton, CO 80127 (Good parking in rear) - http://ihop.know-where.com/ihop/cgi/...=01828&address=
Drive:
Take C-470 to Golden. C-470 turns into Highway 6. Follow Hwy 6 through Golden and turn onto Hwy6/58 through Clear Creek Canyon for approximately 11.5 miles. Turn right onto highway 119 towards Black Hawk.
If the roads are not snowy (and hopefully they won’t be after the warm weather we are going to have this weekend):
Once in Black Hawk, continue on highway 119 north for roughly 9.5 miles and turn right onto highway 46 towards Golden Gate Canyon State Park. Drive 14 miles to highway 93 (arrive on north side of Golden).
There will be plenty of curves so get ready to workout your arms!

It looks like the next round of crappy weather is going to roll in this weekend (why can't the weather be bad during the week?). We may need to postpone for another weekend...
They are showing snow down here Sunday to Tuesday. Saturday weather maybe OK. Do you want to move it back one day? Or wait till summer and we'll all be dodging hail storms.
It looks like we need to push it out.. Springtime in the Rockies. We may be able to get Bishops Castle in in a few weeks, that is also a great trip if the roads are clean.
