Unhappy Not special anymore -?

Today- passed a white XF on hwy 70E about noonish - maybe one of you guys ?? And on my way back noticed a black XF for sale at the Saint Peters Subaru Dealer - had to swing ALL the way around (370 to elm to service road and then back west) - it did not look bad (even though the spoiler was "deployed") and the price was only 8900 I believe - did not say what the mileage was though. So two close encounters on one short drive.

It appears it is time for you to become elite again
by stepping up to the SRT6.

I think I saw the same white coupe eastbound on I70 today. Old grayhaired guy driving. (It wasn't me. It was another old grayhaired guy.)
I didn't see another Crossfire though Shawn. I was driving the big old black and red dodge one ton.

Frank, not to hijack the thread but is your 3500 Dodge red on top with black sides? My '95 is painted that way and I have not seen another like it in years.

Yes. Remember when you bought it and everyone driving a new Dodge pick-up waved? They too knew the little secret.

Nice to meet another member of the club.

Same thinking got you into a Crossfire too, I'll wager.

There are at least 2 maybe 3 other red roadsters in my immediate area and I've talked to two of them and have invited the one lady numerous times to join the GCG whenever we meet. I also noticed a yellow one today (be happy Kim) with a black bra on the front end. There are surprisingly so many in this area and I'm working on an idea to have them all contacted even if it means taking out an ad in the journals to do so.

Besides emforce, we owners know just how special our cars are regardless body/engine style and you'll find, if you haven't already, that your car gets a lot of long multiple looks, not just double takes. Small kids, teens, and adults alike love the look of the car. I've had a guy pull over into Starbucks along Mid-Rivers Drive near 94 just to get out and admire the car...his wife was slightly embarrassed from the look of her, but he cared not. He looked up asked if it was mine with a wide grin and when confirmed, said "beautiful car"...

Correct - old grey-haired fart driving the white XF in the center lane - me - old grey haired fart driving the '02 supercharged frontier passing on the right.

was not driving my "new" XF as the oil had not been changed back to Synthetic yet.

I actually was stongly looking at buying an SRT - even if i had to fly someplace to pick it up (which I have done 3 times before for cars on Ebay - one to Florida, one to Knoxville (very expensice ticket there) and one to KC). BUT , I have to say - I think the permanent wing kinda ruined the cool rear lines of the car - I know I may **** a lot of people off - but that was what swayed me off the SRT.

Shawn

Wow thats surprising i actually love the look of the fixed wing on the srt6 coupe! But i have thought of taking it off just to see how much dead weight it is, and how it would look without it.

Thumbs up Re: Not special anymore -?

OMG - It's like it is raining XF's around Saint Louis lately - Is it possible I just did not notice until I got mine , hmmm - no. Just this week - blue coupe (i think coupe) heading west on 70 near midrivers maybe- I was heading east in my Frontier. Yellow roadsterer - right near Schnucks in LSL. And Today was down at my dent squad guy (which is a story in itself - remind me next time). And ended up following a black rodsterer on watson - then realized I had to turn around as Ferd had left a tool in my car and I wanted to go back an return it - IF I was supposed to make contact - sorry - I missed that cue - and I am a bit shy without beer- lol.
Does Shark have a Black roadster? maybe - ? I am new.
