Let's plan on a trip for the weekend of September 24th to view the fall colors. We have had a suggestion of going through Breckenridge.

 

Sounds good I put it on my calendar, weather normally is good this time of year, we will keep our fingers crossed. If anyone has names for all the handles that were at the CCA this year I would like them. Send me a pm.

 

Keep me in the loop. Through Breck and back over Kenosha Pass is acceptable when limited to pavement.

But for fall colors I usually take the "roads" less traveled, and the Crossfire isn't designed for those trips.

 

Agreed on keeping it on the pavement. I don't like the dirt roads! A ride over Loveland pass may be nice on the way back.

 

Bump, Color Weekend is getting closer. Any Interest?

 

Definitely interested. Do we want to do this on Sunday the 25th? The driveSRT crew will be in downtown Denver on the 24th.

 

I'm good for Sat. or Sun. What is the drive SRT- group? Want to go to Cripple Creek, the road is finished and open or up to the top of Independence Pass and back or? Have you heard from anyone else? So many places so little time. lol

 

I would love to Evan, just a bit far to drive, but it would be nice.

 

The driveSRT group is from Chrysler and they are doing a tour of the US with all the new SRT models. Cripple Creek sounds great. Doug also expressed interest in going.

I plan on heading downtown on the 24th. I'm interested in a drive on the 25th, but it may not be possible for me.

For Sunday's drive, should we plan on meeting down at Garden of the Gods Park around 10AM?

 

That has little appeal for me, I've never found much for fall colors down that way.

Let me know if you're headed downtown Saturday, I'm planning on it.

I'm not sure I'll be to the SRT show in Denver. One of my friends is in a private car show with 125 cars on private property in Franktown on Sat. '68
426 hemi with 500 miles on it

 

How about a stop and early lunch at the barbeque restaurant in Divide. It is on the nw corner at the turn to Cripple Creek. A true mom and pop place with picnic tables outside, no dining on the inside, too small but good food.
