CCC,
Let's start planning some summer drives. I'm certainly open to suggestions. I think the sooner that we plan, the more members we will have. Some thoughts that I had:

- Golden Gate Canyon/Peak-to-Peak Highway/Left Hand Canyon drive
- Pueblo Motorsports Park - They have an autocross track and drag racing
- "Tail of the Trout"
- Leadville Tour - Leadville, Independence Pass, and/or Hoosier Pass

 

Evan I wonder if any of the CO members subscribe to this part of the forum

 

I'll send out an email to the group. Some folks do monitor on here though.

 

I have to admit, I'm not very good at navigating through the forum. So I do miss a lot of parts of the forum. As you can tell, I don't post very much. My Saturday's are not always open, but I'd like to try and get together with the Colorado members.

I'm usually available Saturdays too, with a little notice.
Also, Cars and Coffee is currently defunct, but there is still usually an informal car show Saturday
mornings starting around 9am at the Park Meadows Great Indoors parking lot too, for those looking to keep closer to home.

 

Ok so when are we going to get together again Evan?
Maybe the Golden gate canyon run?
Where did you plan on going with the "Tail of the trout"?
Moffat tunnel etc......
Anyone interested in a GTG post and see who wants to do some driving and talking maybe see some nice mtn scenery and get lunch etc.....?

 

How about something on the weekend of June 16th? Golden Gate Canyon SP and Peak to Peak sound fun.

 

Parker is having its 4th Annual Parker Carfest Car Show on the 10th. There is a $20 entry fee.

 

I'm game .....for both........ maybe we can get 5 or more and get the $10 fee pricing for the Colorado Crossfire Club?

 

Hey all. Still upset i missed the last get together. As long as i can get the days off from work I'm open to getting together. I can also see when our next time trails is on our shifter kart track in grand junction as they allow us to run cars on it every 6 weeks or so. Makes for a nice fun tight ride in the xfire Also have street legal drags every friday night for the season if anyone is ever on this side of the mountain

John where in Golden are you located?
I am off 32nd ave and Indiana.
I think we should all get with Evan and maybe set a date for the GTG as the 16th of June 8am at the Denny's off 32nd and Youngfield and go from there....it's essentially I70 3 miles east of the C470 interchange. We could get Breakfast and then take a route through Golden Gate park or take the road along the foothills that starts in Central City and ends up in Estes park.

And the car show/charity event in Parker might be sooner and a lot of fun as well. June 10th is far enough away to plan for and we can talk about the other GTG on the 16th.

 

Hey Brian would like to see you show up at 1 or the other as well. You should set something up for Vail or around your neck of the woods so we could travel to your "side" of the mtns.

 

Does Otis ever check the forum or is he strickly on the CCC site? I would really like to see 20 or more xfires attend 1 of the events.

We moved our business to golden a couple months ago.
the shop is in brickyard circle, a half mile north of golden gate canyon. our house is a mile north of that in table rock.
my crossfire has not seen another brother or sister for a while. I will pm with contact info.
