This weekend I will be doing a semi trial run to Quabbin with my cousin who owns a 68 camaro roadster and my friend who owns an 02 corvette roadster. We will be doing breakfast in Winchendon and going down 32a to rt.9 passed and thru Quabbin and back up rt. 202. Should be about 80 miles or so. I will let you know how the roads are.

 

What a great day for a ride!! 101/32A through petersham-ware is all new. Quabbin was full of people and the weather was great. I grabbed a couple of pics from the tower there to tease everyone, they are in my gallery. All in all we had a great day. Now time to relax and recuperate.(was about a 95 mile trip)

 

Count me in for sure. The Quabbin' Mt Wachusett sounds great. Going up the mountain will be a blast.

We did a parade in Wickford RI today and it was great fun! Only 3 of us but atleast we weren't out done by the PT Cruisers! Everyone along the parade route loved our cars!

Thanks, ya I just got my XF last week. Great car. I Live in West Boylston, MA. What do you think of the Sprint Booster is it worth getting? Count me in for the run. My car is an 06 Blaze red LTD coupe. It's an auto, I kind of wish I got a stick but I got a great deal on this car so I had to go with it. I wish I could put a sunroof in it because I miss the open air but I guess there pretty tough to do on these cars.

I think it should be a fun ride. Lots of walking at the Quabbin to though so wear good shoes. I haven't been to wachusett in the summer so I am not sure what we will find there. Should be a good size ride for everyone mileage wise. The people I went with monday all want to do it again so I guess it was fun for them too.

 

Why will we be walking? To get to the tower? Find any good photo ops for the Crossfire?

 

A solid date is not mentioned in the thread yet!

Welcome TLJack nice bike to...what model...hard to tell on a thumbnail. There are about 4 good photo-ops at Quabbin...ride my v-rod there several times a year. I just got back from Seattle and drove the Pacific Coast to the Columbia River Gorge,,,,,,that is so nice.

Let's keep an open vote open for Bubba's Ribs...it is well worth the side trip.

 

Since 9/11 most of the public roads have been blocked off to automobiles. If you want to see up close now you have to walk.

Sat. June 7 is the date. Meeting for breakfast at 9:00 am. Annies in Sturbridge, Ma. If it rains we will switch to the following week. We will decide by friday 6/6 and post here.

Yes, it would be nice to know exactly where it is. I come up from rt 44 and go to Brooklyn CT then head down through Thompsonville to Sturbridge. I would assume that directions from Sturbridge should suffice. Thanks, Rick

It is right on the main road out of Sturbridge heading towards Southbridge. If you get to the Dunkin Donuts you went to far. Look for the crossfires that will be parked there.
