Need a Show Car in the Boston area... Lots of Perks
My point exactly! It came off with out a hitch. It was an effort by all of us. I set up the itierary. I led the cruise because you asked me to. I put a lot of effort into it, once I was given the task. You started the ball rolling and I guided it along. I think you are reading a lot more into my statement than need be.
I was simply stating, that my car was there and I spoke to Tony quite a bit on that day. To see if he remembered me and my car. Excuse me if I said something that may have been misconstrued, or appeared conveluted. That wasn't my intention at all. I believe you know that too.
We have a good friendsip and a great working relationship. Let's not screw it up with any misunderstandings. No matter how trivial they may be.
I apologize for anything that you may think was said miscorrectly.

Rick,
It's all good!! I saw the little winking smiley face at the end of your statements. Just keeping you in line.
It's not looking too good at the moment for this to come off. At least that's how it seems. Tony said they really want aftermarket wheels. Most XFires don't have aftermarket wheels. If they want to provide them then we'll gladly take them!!
Bruce,
I don't think Rob was ever too into it. Personally, I don't consider him a co-founder. Yes, he did help with a small portion but then backed down after realizing we needed more of a commitment from him.

That's all true. Neither of us have truly stock wheels anyway, all of our center caps no longer sport the Chrysler logo but the -C-R-O-S-S-F-I-R-E- logo with the stylized coupe above it. That could be viewed as custom if you want to get pickey!!
If they need a couple cars for a whole week, we have offered. it's up to the producers if they don't deem our cars worthy. If they don't know what Crossfires are then they need to really see what they are dealing with.
Both of our cars epitomize what a true sports car is, and they both have mods. No wild DUB type stuff but I'm not into that smoke and mirrors stuff either.
too bad, would have been real nice to see.

I don't know Rick. I think if it was a go, Tony would have known by now. I was thinking, if we didn't get a positive by the "end of bussiness" on Friday, that it is probably a dead isuue. Too bad. I really looking forward to it !! Stan
Sorry guys! It looks like as soon as he found out mine wastn't available he went after a chevette instead.
Now dont you feel silly arguing over this?

I'm going. My car will be there starting tomorrow until the end. I need a ride back to RI. I may have to take the choo-choo. It's a long walk from there to here. I may be able to get sombody to follow me up and take me back.

Rick.
If you can't get picked up. There is bus station around the corner from the Convention Center. I would assume they may have a shuttle running from South Station and back. Call me later today when you are there and we'll see where I am located and what my schedule is like.
Robby,
If you are planning a trip in there, let me know. You have my number.

As far as co-founder title i probally belongs to Crossfire Tail, Blackxfire and myself...but with out the members we'd be the Mo, Larry & Curly. All our events went off very well..esp Newport, Cape, summer orgy @ Stan's, and Quabbin. They were team efforts, enjoyed by all.
Perhaps we can all get together for a couple large car shows this coming season so we can all show off our toys.
Anymore ideas for the Christmas Party & next year's cruises?

The day went fairly well, found the place pretty easily, called and met Manny as per the arraingements that were made. Pulled up in back to the garage door and met Manny. We shook hands and exchanged pleasantries, then he asked how much gas I had in the car, almost full was my reply. he said they wouldn't let me in with that much( Fire Marshall's rules). Well now, that presented a bit of a problem. I wandered around for a while trying to figure out some sort of solution when I came upon a gas station. Asked the guy if he could help, NO. Went to another and we tried to syphon it out but the screen wouldn't allow it. I ended up taking the purge valve out and letting it out into a big can. The guy was happy to put it in his car and off I went, just about at the last line before the red. Lost about $27.00 worth of 94 octane but I'll get that back in spades.
Train left a 3:45 so I sat there for a few hours. Once again, worth the wait.
I'm going to go pick it up on Sunday but will get there well before the end so the wife and I can browse. I can help with tickets if anyone wants to join us.

Newer and prettier? Are you serious? Old and Cranky, I represent that remark!
My car still looks better than that black thing you have with the sagging ---, that needs a BRA!!!!

OK Phil,
We'll give you credit for pioneering. It was us three that actually began to formalize things. Coordinate communications and "get the ball rolling" on alot of the cruises.

Phil, we love you anyway. Your car is beautiful as is your wife. You are probably right about the pioneering but we did start the NEX. I personally started my own club in RI but sort of merged with you guys to for the NEX. Yup, just the three of us, we tried to get Peter to be a part but he didn't want that. Have not heard from him since. I tried writing PM's and stuff all to no avail. Don't know what happened there.
I have always considered you a part of the group, ever since the first time we met. Doesn't really matter who got it off the ground. It has been successful though. My 2 centavos worth.

No problem, I was just busting chops!!
It doesn't matter who started it(ME).
It just matters that we get together and enjoy our cars and friends.
