We will be meeting at Old Mystic Village (The Shopping Center not the town) exit 90 from I-95 turn toward McDonalds (Northbound I-95 turn right staying in the left lane of the right turn light then left at next light and left after McD the parking lot is on right. South bound turn left at ramp end under I-95 stay left.

From North 395 S to exit 78 (this is a left hand exit) follow logical route past the Coast Guard Academy then I-95 North to Exit 90.

Meetup time is upp to u guys Mystic is about 40 minutes South of Provience hour North of New Haven and 20-30 Minutes from Mohegan Sun Casino.

What type of interest do we have for a tour of the USS Nautilus (Free tour nuclear submarine and excellent museum?) There are many great restaruants in area as well as a beautiful old mansion on waterfront (Harkness State Park) that has great gardens that should be seasonally in bloom with picnic area Avery Point also has a great overlook over Long Island Sound (see my Gallery) and an old Mansion. There are several tourist attractions in area Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarian, 2 casinos (don't bring your crossfire title with u), full size steam train rides all about $20, Gillette Castle St Park. With minor exceptions Route 1 runs inland and shore views are rather limited. If I get an idea of what people want I can tailor the cruise to fit.

 

Looks like I will be there. Put me down for the mansion and the sub exhibits.

 

Sounds good Casper....Submarine tour should be popular..free and very interesting. Harkness mansion is right on Long Island Sound very nice.

Will be getting back from a golf trip on the 15th ( late at night ) If I don't have any unexpected things to attend to, I am hoping to be in attendance. Will give definate answer on the 16th or 17th.

 

We used to live under the bridge but after the Mets September finish the past two years, they kicked us out.......

 

What is the tentative meet time?

Acrispy1 & I (if we can come) will be taking the ferry & the earliest departure on Saturday is 7am with landing in New London at about 8:20 am.

 

I take the Orient Point Ferry ride on hot summer nights...NICE RIDE

 

I would think the meet time would be around 9:30-10. or earlier if we have a breakfast location near by.
