CrossfireForum.org Member Sponsorship Options

I have added a new "feature" to the site. I have made two different sponsorship options for people who are interested.
All the sponsorship options come with some benefit to the members of the forum who choose to use them. Here are the details:

Forum Sponsor - $20/yr
  • You are designated a Forum Sponsor
  • Your username is made bold
  • Your private message storage is increased and you can message 10 members at a time instead of 5
  • The majority of advertisements are removed from the site
Forum Super Sponsor - $40/yr
  • You are designated a Forum Super Sponsor
  • Your username is made bold and underlined
  • You can send longer pager messages
  • Your private message storage is increased and you can message 20 members at a time instead of 5
  • Your profile picture can now be 200x200 instead of 100x100
  • Your avatar size can now be 120x120 pixels instead of 80x80
  • You can make your own custom User Title (shown under your username)
  • The majority of advertisements are removed from the site
  • You are allowed to advertise your business or products you are selling in your signature as long as it isn't specifically selling Crossfire or automotive products

I'll be glad to be a sponsor. It's kind of like affording a vacation home. At least in my case.

I'll be in to do this soon.

Thanks for the work MJLR, I appreciate it very much!

If you've paid please send me a message or e-mail me. It should automatically make you whatever sponsor you picked, but I'm still getting it to work.

Also, I forgot to mention... if you pay for any sort of membership you will no longer see any ads on the site, just like it used to be. This should be implemented within the next week hopefully.

Just became a Super Sponsor.

I know this forum has saved me more $$$ and time with all the
help provided for my "projects" than what the membership costs.

Plus no commercials! (Do you know how many worthless movies I watch
on HBO just so I don't have to sit through any commercials? It got so bad I can recite the entire "Girls Gone Wild" commercial :( )

Thanks for the forum!

Is anyone who paid for a membership still seeing ads? I think they should be gone for all paying members, I just want to confirm.

Sorry, I thought when you signed up through PayPal it would change your names automatically just like it automatically adds you to the group, but I guess I still have some work to do. Are you still seeing ads?

Mighty, have you added a time-out feature to the site?
I've noticed that, if I stay away too long or take forever to type a response, that I'm auto-logged out & have to sign back in?
Since I type like crap it's kinda annoying.

I haven't changed anything like that. It may have been me messing around with some settings with your user title/forum sponsorship settings. Are you pressing the "Remember Me" button? If not, I would log out, clear your cookies, and re-log in.

I have the same problem.

It isn't happening for me or my test account. I recommend everyone who has the problem just logout of the forum, clear your cookies, and then re-login. If you are still having problems after that let me know. If you are not sure how to do this let me know also.

You're right. That corrected the issue for me.

Thanks

I suppose "clear your cookies" is not the same as "toss your cookies". :p
