Hello All
Hello fellow members my name is Chuck A.
I live in Galveston , Texas.
Just got a 2006 Crossfire Limited-
Oyster Gold with only 18,800 miles.
Couldn't believe it when I saw it-
looks and smell show room new-
must have belonged to the "Little Old Lady from Pasadena"
I'll get working on a profile soon.
Looking forward to being a member!

Welcome Chuck! Congrats on being a new Crossfire owner. I've added to the Texas Crossfire list: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...mber-list.html
There are lots of good members in the Houston/Galveston area for you to hook up with.

Welcome!
There are a bunch of us in this area. If you need some help or advise let us know. Always glad to help. That is a rare color, very good looking. Watch the
" South"forum section for get to gathers ( GTG). We have the Texas Motor Speedway coming up in Sept in FT Worth. Do some laps around the track to help out some sick children. " Laps for Kids" . We all stay at the Motel 6 across the way from the track. Eat luch and dinner at some great local places and have a pool party, etc.

Welcome Chuck! Sounds like the "Little Ol' Lady" took good care of your XF! Guess she gave up on the Pasadena Raceway. You are now part of a GREAT group of friends and experts on the care and maintenance of Crossfires. A virtual family.
Hope you can make it to any of the Xf gtgs (get togethers) there in Texas and elsewhere in the U.S.
Again, WELCOME

Thanks folks,
Looks like I'm in the right Forum!
I'm sure I'll be needing help from time to time and from the looks of things there is no shortage of knowledgeable Crossfire fans here!
My new baby is super clean to the point of looking brand new-even under the hood and the door jams and such but-the only thing letting the car down at this time is the tired looking head light lenses-
replacements are extremely expensive as I'm sure all of you know-so If any one can steer me in the right direction or refer me to the correct section of the forum where I might seek help for this annoying problem!
Looking forward to some the meets and clubs available too-just a little to busy with life and hail damage to look into all the opportunities at the moment!

Welcome Chuck, you're gonna love this car! Try headlight restoration in the search feature, there will be several posts to look through. Pretty much it looks like if a "good" over the counter headlight restore does not do the trick, with their enclosed sanding disks, it would be time to use a more abrasive one starting at say 320 grit, and moving up to the higher 1000-2000 grit wet sand. If your not comfortable sanding the lights, then maybe a body shop could do them, for a good price. Id search the forum for the bumper removal, (not hard just a bit time consuming) to take your lights out for the body shop to sand em. There are lots of good posts on this, I kinda just gave you shotgun idea of what may be involved
2004 SSB 6spd Coupe, And......................Loving it!

just do a search for " Hazy Headlight lens", you will see a bunch of post on how to fix. There have been a couple of new kits that seem to get high marks. Besure to mask the area around the lens so you don't wear off the paint. Should be able to get a good kit for $20-30.
