It was a long haul, this car hunt. The commencement was losing my brakes on the Dragon in beloved black TVR at speed. I knew it was time. I had aged out and lost some reflex speed. It was time to sell it and move on.

The journey took me through considering Thunderbirds and MINIs with occasional diversions into other makes. In a conversation with an old friend and fellow car enthusiast the Crossfire and especially the SRT 6 came up.

Rarely have I gotten in a car and felt immediately at home. I did with this SRT 6. It is very black, a roadster, not stock and now proudly mine.

As I was driving it to its new home in Tennessee its twin passed me headed in the opposite direction just before I was passed by a black NA Coupe. I don't know where all these black Crossfires were during that long hunt but it was a nice welcome for this SRT to the SE US.

I greatly look forward to the gatherings and learning more about these fine cars.

For instance, I have always liked and owned many black cars but until this site I did not know that black was actually a much faster color than the others.
